Mouth and nose protection in the form of an FFP2 mask or a medical mask must be worn at all times when renting skis, in the entire ticket office and cable car area, as well as in all means of transport (chair lifts, T-bar lifts, etc.). There are NO exceptions to this rule (certificates cannot be accepted, we ask for your understanding).

In addition, the wearing of such a mask is mandatory wherever the minimum distance of 2 cannot be maintained.

From 9 March, skiing in the ski lift carousel in Winterberg is once again permitted in the fresh air, subject to compliance with our hygiene concept!

If you do not yet have a data carrier, please register in good time and have a KeyCard sent to you. These are valid for 5 years.

Please note: Only one active authorisation is permitted on each KeyCard.

Alternatively, you can select the pick-up function when purchasing. You will receive a voucher by e-mail, which you can exchange for a ski ticket at the lift ticket office. 

Tickets can only be purchased at the lift ticket office if there is still a remaining contingent available.

In order to organise the distance rules for the transport of persons in the ski area as safely as possible, the following rules are agreed.

  • Cable cars count as public transport, therefore the wearing of medical masks or FFP2 masks is obligatory for both winter sports enthusiasts and cable car employees.
  • The obligation to wear masks applies at ticket offices, in the queuing area and during the lift ride.
  • The 2 metre safety distance must be observed everywhere.

In the ski area, the outdoor huts are open with a reduced range of food and drinks. Consumption must take place at least 50m away. Disinfection facilities are provided at the outdoor huts and mouth/nose protection must be worn.

Ski schools are also open according to the guidelines of the Winterberg ski schools. This provides the guests with the greatest possible safety. Private lessons take place with a maximum of 4 people from one household.

Group lessons for children and adults ski or snowboard may not be offered at the moment.

The ski rental stations are also open. Prerequisite is an online booking or an appointment. 

In addition to the disinfectant dispensers, special air purification devices are available in the rental stations. Wearing a medical mask or an FFP2 mask is compulsory. Only one customer per 40 square metres may enter the rental station. 

The rental equipment is disinfected regularly.

Medical masks and FFP2 masks are considered as mouth-nose protection.

Our employees are trained on the Corona safety measures and wear FFP2 masks in customer contact and as soon as distances are undercut.

Disinfection facilities are available in the toilet facilities, the cashier areas and the wards.

Toilets are open at the catering facilities. Disinfection dispensers are available and masks are compulsory.
