Other data is collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website. This consists primarily of technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is collected automatically as soon as you access our website.
What do we use your data for?
Some of the data is collected to ensure the website functions correctly. Other data may be used to analyse your user behaviour.
What rights do you have regarding your data?
You have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have the right to request the rectification, restriction or erasure of this data. You may contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice regarding this matter or any other questions relating to data protection. Furthermore, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority.
You also have the right, under certain circumstances, to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. For further details, please refer to the privacy policy under ‘Right to restriction of processing’.

The operators of this website take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various types of personal data are collected. Personal data is data that can be used to identify you personally. This privacy policy explains what data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
Please note that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security vulnerabilities. It is not possible to guarantee complete protection of data against access by third parties.
Information on the data controller
The data controller for data processing on this website is:
Skiliftkarussell Winterberg
Christoph Klante
Am Waltenberg 46

Email: technik@skiliftkarussell.de
The data controller is the natural or legal person who, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).
Withdrawal of your consent to data processing
Many data processing operations are only possible with your explicit consent. You may withdraw any consent you have already given at any time. To do so, simply send us an informal email. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out up to the point of withdrawal remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
Right to object to data collection in specific cases and to direct marketing (Article 21 of the GDPR)
Where data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. If you object, we will no longer process your personal data in question, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to establish, exercise or defend legal claims (objection under Article 21(1) of the GDPR).
If your personal data is processed for the purposes of direct marketing, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data for the purposes of such marketing; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is related to such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will no longer be used for the purposes of direct marketing (objection under Article 21(2) of the GDPR).
Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority
In the event of infringements of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place where the alleged infringement occurred. This right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data which we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract provided to you or to a third party in a commonly used, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another data controller, this will only take place to the extent that it is technically feasible.
SSL or TLS encryption
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or enquiries that you send to us as the website operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of your browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the padlock icon in your browser bar.
When SSL or TLS encryption is enabled, the data you send to us cannot be read by third parties.
Access, restriction, erasure and rectification
In accordance with the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to obtain, free of charge, information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients, and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, the right to have this data rectified, restricted or erased. You may contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice regarding this matter or any other questions relating to personal data.
Right to restriction of processing
You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. To do so, you may contact us at any time at the address given in the legal notice. The right to restriction of processing applies in the following cases:
- If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally require time to verify this. For the duration of this verification, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
- If the processing of your personal data has been or is being carried out unlawfully, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of erasure.
- If we no longer require your personal data, but you require it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure.
- If you have lodged an objection under Article 21(1) of the GDPR, a balancing of interests between yours and ours must be carried out. Until it has been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, such data – apart from its storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the purposes of asserting, exercise or defence of legal claims, or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person, or for reasons of an important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.
Objection to promotional emails
We hereby object to the use of contact details published in accordance with the legal requirement to provide an imprint for the purpose of sending unsolicited advertising and information material. The operators of this website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising material, for example via spam emails.

4. Analytics tools and advertising
Google Analytics
This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called ‘cookies’. These are text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The storage of Google Analytics cookies and the use of this analytics tool are based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.
IP anonymisation
We have enabled the IP anonymisation feature on this website. This means that your IP address is truncated by Google within Member States of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data held by Google.
Browser plug-in
You can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings accordingly; however, please note that, in this case, you may not be able to make full use of all the functions of this website. You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.
Objection to data collection
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set, which will prevent your data from being collected during future visits to this website:
Further information on how user data is handled by Google Analytics can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.
Data processing on behalf of a client
We have entered into a data processing agreement with Google and fully comply with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.
Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising programme provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
As part of Google AdWords, we use what is known as conversion tracking. When you click on an advert placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the web browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognise that the user clicked on the advert and was redirected to that page.
Each Google AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information collected via the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted in to conversion tracking. Clients are informed of the total number of users who have clicked on their advert and been redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. If you do not wish to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily disabling the Google conversion tracking cookie via your web browser’s user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of “conversion cookies” and the use of this tracking tool are based on Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analysing user behaviour in order to optimise both its website and its advertising.
Further information on Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
You can configure your browser so that you are notified when cookies are set and can choose to allow cookies only on a case-by-case basis, block the acceptance of cookies in specific cases or generally, and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you disable cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
5. Newsletter
Newsletter details
If you wish to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we require your email address and information that enables us to verify that you are the owner of the email address provided and that you consent to receiving the newsletter. No further data is collected, or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The processing of the data entered in the newsletter subscription form takes place exclusively on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You may withdraw your consent to the storage of your data and email address, and to their use for sending the newsletter, at any time, for example via the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in the newsletter. The lawfulness of any data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by this withdrawal.
The data you have provided to us for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted once you have unsubscribed. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
CleverReach
This website uses CleverReach to send newsletters. The provider is CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede. CleverReach is a service that enables the organisation and analysis of newsletter distribution. The data you provide to subscribe to the newsletter (e.g. your email address) is stored on CleverReach’s servers in Germany or Ireland.
Our newsletters sent via CleverReach enable us to analyse the behaviour of newsletter recipients. Among other things, this allows us to analyse how many recipients opened the newsletter and how often each link in the newsletter was clicked. With the help of so-called conversion tracking, it is also possible to analyse whether a predefined action (e.g. the purchase of a product on our website) took place after clicking on a link in the newsletter. Further information on data analysis via CleverReach newsletters is available at: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/funktionen/reporting-und-tracking/.
Data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). You may withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the newsletter. The lawfulness of any data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the withdrawal.
If you do not wish your data to be analysed by CleverReach, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. We provide a link for this purpose in every newsletter message. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter directly on the website.
The data you have provided to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and CleverReach’s servers once you have unsubscribed. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected by this.
For further details, please refer to CleverReach’s privacy policy at: https://www.cleverreach.com/de/datenschutz/.
Conclusion of a data processing agreement
We have concluded a data processing agreement with CleverReach and fully comply with the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using CleverReach.

Furthermore, YouTube may store various cookies on your device. These cookies enable YouTube to obtain information about visitors to our website. This information is used, amongst other things, to compile video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud. The cookies remain on your device until you delete them.
If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to link your browsing behaviour directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Further information on the handling of user data can be found in YouTube’s privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Web Fonts
This site uses so-called web fonts, provided by Google, to ensure a consistent display of fonts. When you visit a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its cache to display text and fonts correctly.
To this end, the browser you are using must establish a connection to Google’s servers. As a result, Google becomes aware that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of Google Web Fonts is in the interests of ensuring a consistent and attractive presentation of our online content. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
If your browser does not support Web Fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used.
Further information on Google Web Fonts can be found at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq and in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Google Maps
This website uses the Google Maps mapping service via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
In order to use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this website has no influence over this data transfer.
The use of Google Maps is in the interests of presenting our online services in an appealing manner and ensuring that the locations specified on our website can be easily found. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
Further information on the handling of user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.
Instagram feed
On our website, we display posts from our Instagram profile. Instagram is provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. The feed’s content is only loaded once you have consented to the ‘Marketing’ category in our cookie banner or have expressly permitted the feed to load. Your browser then establishes a connection to Meta’s servers and loads the images from there. In particular, your IP address, information about your browser and the page you are viewing are transmitted to Meta. Meta may also process this data in the USA. Meta is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, Section 25(1) of the TDDDG). You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect by changing your cookie settings. Details of what data Meta processes and how long it is stored can be found in Instagram’s Privacy Policy: privacycenter.instagram.com/policy
Chat assistant (AI)
We offer a chat assistant on our website. Your input is transmitted to OpenAI (OpenAI Ireland Ltd. / OpenAI, L.L.C., USA) for processing and is processed there. In doing so, your input may be transferred to the USA. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in responding to visitor enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR). OpenAI does not use the data for training purposes and stores it for a maximum of 30 days for the purpose of detecting misuse. To manage the chat history, we use a technically necessary session cookie (“fe_typo_user”), which is deleted when you close your browser.
To enable you to continue the conversation in other tabs or after restarting your browser, your browser stores the chat history locally on your device (localStorage). If your session on our server has expired, the chat will resend the most recent messages so that follow-up questions can be understood. The local chat history is automatically deleted 24 hours after your last message. You can delete it immediately by clicking the ‘New chat’ button (the pencil icon in the top left-hand corner of the chat window). Please do not enter any personal data in the chat.
