In the Winterberg centre, you can park free of charge at car parks P2 to P7. Details on access routes, charges and opening hours can be found at the respective car park.

Travelling by train
You can reach Winterberg by train from Dortmund and Kassel. There is a direct train service from Dortmund to the Sauerland, which takes 108 minutes to reach Winterberg. If you’re coming from Kassel, you’ll need to change from the train to a bus heading for Winterberg at Olsberg.
Once you arrive at Winterberg railway station, the shortest route to the ski resort is towards the town centre. This involves a walk of about 1 km: first head towards the town centre and then up the Waltenberg until you see the Hotel Brabander on your right. From here, walk across car park P1 directly into the ski area at Herrloh.
Travelling by bus from Winterberg railway station
You can reach the ski resort by bus in less than 10 minutes. Take the S40 from Winterberg railway station to the ‘Rathaus’ stop. From there, walk back along the road for a short distance until you see the Hotel Brabander on your left. Cross the road there and head straight into the ski area at Herrloh via car park P1. The S40 service also takes you to the ‘Poppenberg’ stop, from where you can also reach the ski resort.
