You will find free parking at the car parks P2, P3, P4, P5, P6 and P7. For buses and vehicles over 3.5 t only the large car park P3 is suitable.

The colour of the traffic lights at each parking space tells you where there are free parking spaces.

Note: We do our best to keep the information as up-to-date as possible. However, they do not constitute a guarantee.

A traffic guidance system on site will give you additional orientation.

Arrival by train

You can reach Winterberg by train from Dortmund and Kassel. From Dortmund there is a direct train connection to the Sauerland, with which you can reach Winterberg in 108 minutes. If you are coming from Kassel, you change from the train in Olsberg to the bus in the direction of Winterberg.

When you arrive at Winterberg train station, the shortest way to the ski area is in the direction of the town centre. Take the ski bus or walk about 1 km: First take the bus in the direction of the town centre and then walk up the Waltenberg until you see the Hotel Brabander on your right. From here you walk via car park P1 directly to the ski area at Herrloh.

Arrival by bus from Winterberg railway station

By bus you can reach the ski area in less than 10 minutes. Take the S40 line from Winterberg train station to the "Rathaus" stop. From there, walk back along the road until you see the Hotel Brabander on the left side. There you cross the street and enter the ski area am Herrloh via car park P1. You can also take the S40 line to the "Poppenberg" stop from where you can also reach the ski area.

Astenexpress ski bus

The Astenexpress ski bus takes you from Winterberg station to the ski area every Saturday, Sunday and Shrove Monday during the winter season.

The ski bus for Skiliftkarussell+ CardJust commute!

Simply hop on the bus and experience all three ski areas - without stress and searching for a parking space. Our shuttle bus takes you at regular intervals with the "Skiliftkarussell+ Card" ticket free of charge to the Altastenberg ski carousel and to the Postwiesen ski village Neuastenberg.

Really practical: You can park your car in Neuastenberg or Altastenberg and still visit all ski areas in one day.

Two shuttle bus lines for more winter sports fun!

Our shuttle buses run from/to the "Nordhang" bus stop, located on the road at the P5 Nordhang car park next to the valley station of chairlift no. 11 (Brembergkopf 2).


Orange line: This line goes to the ski village Neuastenberg and stops there at the bus stop above the Postwiese. There is an additional stop in the climatic health resort of Langewiese.

Green line: This line goes to the Altastenberg ski carousel and stops there at the "Astenstraße" regular bus stop in front of the Wemhoff sports shop, not far from the Kapellenhang car park and lift mountain station in Altastenberg. Additional stop on demand at the Sahnehang. Both lines also stop at Winterberg station. The exact departure times can be found in the timetable.
