Arrival by public transport

You can reach Winterberg by train from Dortmund or Kassel. From Bestwig there is a train to Winterberg. From the Winterberg railway station you can reach the ski lift carousel in about 15 minutes. The shortest way is up the Waltenberg in the direction of the city centre. In the upper part of the Waltenberg you will see the Hotel Brabander on your right. There you go over the parking lot P1 directly into the ski area at the Herrloh.

The ski area can be reached by bus in 5 to 7 minutes. The S40 line departs directly from the station every hour, 10 minutes after the hour, the R28 line departs every two hours, 40 minutes after the hour. Take the train to the stop Rathaus. From there you walk down the Waltenberg for a short distance until you see the Hotel Brabander on your left. There you go over the parking lot P1 directly into the ski area at the Herrloh. You can also continue to the Poppenberg stop. The buses also return every hour or every two hours, 36 or 20 minutes after the hour.

You can park for free in P2, P3, P4, P5, P6 and P7 car parks.

For buses and vehicles over 3.5t only the large parking space P3 is suitable.
